Contest rules

Who can participate in the contest?

Pupils and students of Czech secondary schools between the ages of 15 and 22 can participate in the competition.

What are the competitive disciplines?

The competition task is to prepare a project or create a work in the following disciplines during the year: art or literature. Competitors can work on a project in more than one discipline, but they can only win in one of them. The task is to create a literary or artistic work that is related to contemporary modern Israel. Projects dealing with II. world war and history are not desirable. The CEMACH project should primarily bring information and interesting things about today’s Israeli education, science, tourism, economy, nature and culture.

What is the format of the competition disciplines?

The aim of the competition is not to limit your creativity; if you decide to capture your message about Israel using a sci-fi story, a 3D model of an interesting building, or an image of contemporary Israel, it’s entirely up to you. However, we have created the following instructions for individual disciplines, which serve as the necessary minimum for your project to be included in the competition:

Recordings of the seminars are available at www.youtube.com/user/CEMACHsoutez?feature=mhee.

Why do we require text citations?

Any image, photo, text that can be found on the Internet is the intellectual property of its creator. Using these materials without crediting the source or author is a violation of copyright, comparable to theft. Likewise, when using information, you need to write where it came from – imagine writing that in Israel they have flying cars because your neighbor told you – when you write about what is happening in Israel, it is always a good idea to include , where you got the information from, so that you and your readers can get an idea of how trustworthy such information is, and it is also a requirement of copyright law.

More information on how citations are created under the Act can be found here. For the purposes of the project, it is sufficient if you include the name of the author and the name of the book or website from which you drew the information or illustration.
